Why this role matters
Prove7 is infrastructure: a continuous trust layer that governs, scores, and proves every action an autonomous agent takes. That is a deep technical bar — real-time policy enforcement, a tamper-evident sealed record, a live Trust Score recomputed on every run, multi-tenant by construction. You build it.
As a Full-Stack Engineer you work across a Java/Spring backend and a React frontend to turn governance principles into controls that actually run — the Governed Execution Layer, the policy and identity model, the connectors, and the console where security teams see and steer it all.
What you'll do
- Design and ship features end-to-end across a Spring Boot backend and a React frontend — from the data model and APIs to the UI security teams use daily.
- Build core platform capability: the policy graph, identity binding, the Agent Trust Score pipeline, the Governed Execution Layer, and the sealed audit record.
- Develop connectors and the SDK / Governed Gateway integration paths that let enterprises govern the agents and workflows they already run.
- Treat correctness and security as first-class — you are building the thing other people's compliance depends on.
- Write clean, well-tested code and review thoughtfully; you raise the bar for the codebase, not just add to it.
- Work directly with Product, Solutions Architects, and customers to turn the field's hardest requirements into shipped software.
What you bring
- 5+ years building production software, with real depth in a JVM stack (Java/Spring or Kotlin) and a modern frontend (React/TypeScript).
- Solid fundamentals in API design, relational data modeling, and distributed systems thinking.
- A security-and-correctness mindset — you reason about failure modes, multi-tenancy, and trust boundaries by instinct.
- The range to own a feature from schema to UI, and the judgment to know when to go deep and when to ship.
- Strong written communication and a collaborative, low-ego approach to building.
Bonus points
- Experience with workflow/orchestration engines (e.g. Temporal), policy engines (OPA/Rego), or event-driven systems.
- Background in security, identity (IAM/IGA), audit, or compliance-grade systems.
- Hands-on work with LLMs, agent frameworks, or AI/ML infrastructure.
How we work — and what we offer
Prove7 is remote-first across the United States. We hire for ownership and judgment, not for a seat in a particular building — with occasional travel to be in the room with the enterprises we serve. Expect a small, senior team where your work ships and is felt quickly.
Compensation. The target range for this role is $185K–$225K, benchmarked to the 75th percentile of the US market for high-growth security and AI companies. Final offers reflect level, experience, and location, and include meaningful equity on top of cash.
- Meaningful early-stage equity. You are joining early. You should own a real piece of what you help build.
- Comprehensive health coverage. Medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents.
- Flexible time off & paid parental leave. Time away that is actually restful, and real support when family comes first.
- Home-office & learning budget. The tools to do your best work, and room to keep getting sharper in a field that moves weekly.
- Direct line to the founders. Low ceremony, high trust, and decisions made close to the work.
